Drove 500 miles to visit friends, to install a new Linux OS on their PCs,

I played with my new CTS-3 install on the way over, made some changes to the screens so that I could monitor the ICP which is really neat.

and the Glow plugs, that isn't working right now for me, the Edge CTS-3 is not turning ON with the KEON, it shows instantly when the engine starts....

bummer, the new screens.
the Glow Plugs are on the main screen, wish I could see them while it is waiting for the WTS to go off.

Main screen, replaced Bat Volts with ICP

this is the last, or 3rd screen -- the screens slide ways, left/right

Note this screen shows Glow Plugs Cycle time,
the Main Screen just shows them ON/OFF, providing the CTS-3 would turn on with the Keyswitch, going to call them come Daylight, this ain't right

Hooked up the 24 foot trailer tossed it in 60 tow.... Pulled great. Got about 50 miles to the nearest Lowes. I smell brakes. Both rear rims are hot. Thinking the brake is stuck. Joy. Just replaced the rp caliper and pads 2 months ago. The driver rear looked brand new at the time.

Rear brakes seems to be endemic to Excursions. I've replaced bearings, seals, calipers, rotors, and pads and the rotors are still warping when hot. Then I replaced all of the flex lines and 100 miles later the symptoms returned.

I guess the hard lines and master cylinder are next....

What is crazy when the trailer wasnt hooked up or the drive last night it was fine. Oh well it is just money right? I guess while the rear is in the air I have to find my trailer brake wire issue. Giving me a short code/ over load code on the controller. So I have a wire rubbing somewhere since the brakes will work for a little while.

So the EX brakes got a bit overheated towing the 24’ enclosed trailer while the trailer brakes were not working? That may help to explain the additional brake load……?

The fronts were fine. The rr was warm the dr was HOT. So no the trailer was not the true issue. It was also empty at 3k pounds. I am thinking the Ebrake might be rubbing even tho I have not set it in a long time.

Driving from Little Rock, AR to Dawsonville, GA

just south of Jackson, TN an Idiot in a Gas Tanker, yeah, the 18 wheeler type,
tried to wipe off my left front fender!!!!

then he goes across to the outside lane, to avoid a small SUV, then he swings all the way across 4 lanes of "go home traffic" to the HOV lane, and then he goes across to the right to take an Exit

They look great, did you use 2” spacers and what size tires do you have? Your Ex looks in excellent condition, thanks for sharing.

Swapped out the broken-in-half leaf spring with a new B-Code! And tomorrow, I get to do the other side!

Send help, my arms are falling off.

Getting mine ready to pull the camper up and back to Niagara Falls in a couple of weeks. Going to hit the Great Lakes in the Summer and Gulf Shores AL in the winter. This oil change will push her over 200,000 miles.

Used her yesterday to move the kid out of college. This weekend she is the bus to hall the grandparents to the other kids college graduation.

I love my Excursion!
