For what its worth I bought a re-man 120V on ebay for 118.75 shipped. I got it as a spare about a month ago, tried it and it worked and just put it under the rear seat.
I bought a re-manufactured one from an eBay with a warranty and no core charge... Only paid 139 for it, next I am gonna buy a re-manufactured PCM and send it out to be flashed by DP tuners up there in Ga...
Hey good news guys the new IDM fixed the problems with my truck not running... I still get the CPS intermittent code but its not affecting how the truck is running.. I have gained all my lost power back that i have not had in over 2 years and I am not getting the sluggish throttle response when the motor is cold.... THANKS for the help...
my truck has the same code a p1294 along with a p1212 but the 1212 i have found the icp sensor has oil intrusion in it so going to start with that. however the p1204 still is there i did a injector buzz test all worked but still poped up same code cleared code and code did not return when retested koeo test i believe the one with engine off. any help with this would be great done some other test but truck seems to run fine with lots of power still pulling my 10000 lb boat at around 75 to 80 no problem so not sure what the deal is
My problem was the IDM had water in it... It's easy to check it's located drivers side mounted to fender behind the air box... It's 3 or 4 bolts remove and shake if you hear the same sloshing sound I did replace and enjoy....
thanks for the info but i am just taking a shot in the dark have not checked it yet but the truck does not seem to miss and all the injctor buzz test function ok hott or cold but i will go home on my lunch break and try if anyone has anything else please help i need my truck
My truck ran perfect never missed nor threw a code it was a bit sluggish on take off and just seemed to lack the power it should have... When I replaced it I gained some of the power back ( bad HPOP and boost leaks lol) If it is the IDM let me know and I will post where to pick one up for I think 134 plus shipping with a re-manufactured warranty on workmanship....
hey guys i changed the uvc, vc, and replaced my glow plugs while in there seems to run same as normal but no codes now so i will continue to drive and wait and see what happens thinking the short on the glow plug terminal was shorted to my harness on the vc.. but i have an extra idm if i need one so hopefully that doesn't happen but still i might want that site to get those parts i want to up grade my hpop to something bigger since i have the big injectors and custom chip and what not.. does anyone know who i can buy a pcm from to get it burned or will the chip do the same as the pcm getting programed the chip is a stock 70hp and 120hp
Actually auto zone has a pcm for around 140 with out the core added so it more like 180 or so... Still not bad, the place i use is Auto Computer Exchange their number is 1-888-664-8787 I got my IDM for 134 and if you don't want to send a core back you simply lose the warranty no core charge....
