97 7.3 Trouble Codes!!! HELP!!

Hey guys I am back and with bad news lol... I have the 97 psd that was lacking power, and shut off on me after I replace the Map sensor and CPS... I was on my way to work she ran great for a week or so then lost all power (36mph floored) and stalled when I stopped at work... Set over night fired up no problem ran good till got warm then same thing. I bought a scanner and there are the codes:
P0113 Intake air temp sensor 1 Circuit High input
P0603 Power Train Control Module keep alive memory (error)
P0344 CPS A circuit Intermittent 1 ( I just bought two new CPS from ford and installed one still throwing code...)
P0708 Trans Range Sensor circuit high input ( only did this after I removed to clean)
P1294 Injector High Side open- Bank 2

I have looked around but I can't seem to find the info I need to get on the road to recovery lol my baby is sick and needs some TLC... Any help you can offer would be a life saver...

With your code P0708, since it tripped after you pulled it apart and cleaned it, what did you use to clean it with? If you used anything fluid related, check your connectors, put some dialetric grease on it, clear the codes and see where you stand again.

As for the other codes, I would seriousely check into the injectors. If you could check to see if the engine runs the same after you disconnect each injector one at a time, hen you come across one that has no effect on the engine speed or power, you may have your problem.

I am not 100% certain, but code P1294 is telling me to check the injectors. If it is an injector, and I say "if", then you can clear the codes once you are done with replacement. I am getting the notion that the other codes have been tripped due to a problem in the injection or fuel delivery area.

Just my thoughts!

P1294 Injector High Side open- Bank 2
Look at this first ,, UVCH issue or an injector solenoid issue . 1294 Is on the left side ..( DS)

Ok I will check into the injector.... I used electrical cleaner to clean the ranger sensor, the same stuff I used on all my other connectors...

I agree with Action.. I should have mentioned that first!

I was curious about the cleaner, but sounds like you used the right stuff!

So that code 603 could be caused by a bad injector as well huh... sounds like it may be time to put some new squirters in the old girl and maybe I will have the PCM flashed and programmed...

Is it unplugged?

P0603 Power Train Control Module keep alive memory (error)
Batteries disconnected at some time?

P0344 CPS A circuit Intermittent 1 ( I just bought two new CPS from ford and installed one still throwing code...)
Probably caused by P1294 code .. rough run.

P0708 Trans Range Sensor circuit high input ( only did this after I removed to clean)
Sounds like bad electrical connection. Clear codes and see if it comes back.

P1294 Injector High Side open- Bank 2
Fix this one ..
Valve cover connectors shorting out?
Possible bad IDM .. water intrusion?
Is exhaust manifold on drivers side cold?
WAG's off the top of my head.

Thanks for that info I will get out the ohm meter and check out the connections going into valve cover. I am not sure if I can check the IDM short of replacing it... There is not water intrusion nor are the valve gaskets leaking any oil so I think I am good in that area... I went out today and fired it up she ran good for oh 15 seconds then just shut off (as if I turned the key off) when restarted she runs rough and won't stay running... I am thinking it has to be electrical.... I am sure the IDM could throw an injector open in bank 2 code...

Can you do a buzz test?

Unplug one of the connectors on the valve cover and that will isolate two injectors. If it runs better then you narrowed it down to to those two. Then do the other side if necessary. By water intrusion I mean water inside the IDM. You would have to remove the IDM and shake it to tell for sure. Pretty common problem if it's been raining a lot, if not then probably not.

Well I live in florida so we get plenty of rain.. I don't think it was raining when this problem occurred... Is the IDM the control box on the fire wall?

It's on drivers side fender just below and slightly behind the fuse box. Can't miss it.

I must say to Hussler thank you very much for that input! I pulled the IDM and it is full of water almost to the point where I couldn't hear it slosh lol.... I am gonna replace that and possibly my PCM after I send it out to be flashed and programmed....

A 120V IDM out of a Super Duty is an upgrade for our trucks. They all work, I'd go that way if you can.
