CPS Code and P0472 that won't clear
Guys, I'd appreciate any help you can give. I have a 96 F350 dually automatic with 162,000 miles. Lately it's been cutting out like I turned the key off and back on. I removed my TS Tuner chip and it still does it. I scanned the truck and found a cam position sensor circuit code. The CPS is only a year old, bought it at the local International Truck dealer.
I also have a P0472 Exhaust back pressure sensor code. I cleaned the tube and the sensor (Both were dirty) and tried to clear the code, but it won't clear.
Should I replace the EBP sensor and retry clearing the code? The truck has been running rough at idle, has a vibration under acceleration, has lost power and has a high speed miss when towing (Like it's de-fueling....)
New mechanical fuel pump & resealed fuel filter housing a year ago, fuel is clean...
Thanks in advance....

Since the EBP is showing a fluctuating voltage on the scan tool I'd think the wiring and maybe even the sensor is OK; is my thinking wrong? Open to your thoughts...
Also, the cutting out occasionally happens when I hit a bump. I've checked the ECU harness and it's attached properly. Any thoughts as to where a harness or wire might be vibrating against the body and shorting out the signal?

No, the tach stutters with the engine, but it doesn't go to zero. As far as the EBP voltage readings, I'll look at them later today and repost my findings. The scanner shows a voltage, and it slightly changes when I rev the engine, however I don't remember exact voltages. Thanks for your help!

Update: I was wrong about the P0472 code, it was actually P0470. I was able to clear it and afterward the engine idled better than it has in a long time. The vibration when I rev the engine was gone also! However, the P0470 came back within a few minutes of driving. I'll order a new EBPS tomorrow.
Regarding the high rpm miss under load that I've been chasing for 2 years (When the truck misses it feels like a gas engine hitting the rev limiter): tonight while driving under a load the engine began to cut out around 2500 rpm so I hit the record button on the scanner. When I replayed the datastream I noticed that while the miss was occurring the entire datastream reported "No Data", then returned to normal when I backed out of the throttle. Does anyone know what would cause this and what my next move should be?

CoreyAllan, nice truck!! Thanks for the input, but I don't think it's the EBPV; I get no sucking sound, just what feels like multiple dead cylinders. It's got new VC gaskets and under valve cover harnesses. I'm installing a new EBP sensor later today to deal with the recurring P0470 code, and the CPS code hasn't returned since I cleared it earlier in the week.
I also keep getting a flashing OD light and harsh shift after my TS tuner is plugged in for 20 or 30 miles, but it doesn't do it when I remove the tuner. TS says it's not the tuner, so I'm wondering if there's any relation between the EBP sensor and the OD light symptoms. I love this truck, but it's starting to drive me nuts....
