Completely confused about replacement audio
I know nothing about car audio. I have a 02 F250 and the CD player died. I want to get something that has a fixed screen, can play CD's, has a built in amp and I can hook up a backup camera too.
I don't want to spend more than $500. I see there are a bunch of no-brand head units on Ebay around the $250 mark. Are these junk, or would it give me a few years of use. I went on Crutchfield, but there is nothing in my price range.
Any suggestions on what to look for????

Thanks!
Joe
I've seen several double din stereo/Cd units in local electronic stores for around $399.
I unfortunately showed my wife how to use ebay and she bought one of those 300$ Nav, DVD, USB, Ipod, SD card, Back up camera, touch screen knock off chinese brand double dins. So far it works just great and everything is set up nicely. I did have to load newer Navagation info on the SD card provided. I havent had any issues and I do like that I can have so many different ways to have music its unreal. Heck I have a 30 gig thumb drive connected, ipod, and 8gig SD card, so I have too much music to choose from. Anyway from whats it worth, it works fine for my truck, but I dont care to mod my system anymore than it is. If you can afford the good stuff, by all means get it or keep your wife from buying something without talkin to you first! HAHA.
My Set up

BOYO Vision AVN701D Car DVD/CD/MP3 Player with Navigation
Amazon.com: 6.5"TOUCH LCD/SD/BT/NAV 2 DIN: Electronics
XDVDN8290 - DVD Multimedia Receiver - Built-In Navigation,Bluetooth and iPod Ready
JVC KW-NT1 Double DIN In-Dash DVD Player & GPS Navigation Touchscreen
My son and I have bought from SonicElectronix and have gotten good service.
The Boyo model is made by the same company that makes the Boyo license plate rear view cameras.
Talk about inexpensive, here is one from wally mart.
Walmart.com: Xovision In-Dash Double Din 7" Wide Screen Touch DVD Receiver, Fully Motorized XOD1750: Auto Electronics
A couple more bucks and they will install it for you. Wow. I hate to say this but I may just go this option. I don't mind using my Garmin GPS...so I really don't need NAV.
