The bulb in my ESOF switch burned out. Ford cannot get this bulb without buying the entire switch even though the bulb is made to twist out and off. Anyway, who supplies Ford with these bulbs and where can I find one online? Thanks.
I had to replace the illumination light on my HVAC contols and it was a type 194 bulbs. Most of the illumination lights on the dash and intrument cluster are the 194 bulbs, the ses light, 4x4, low range, low fuel, bright light indicator, etc are type 24 if you are replacing with standard bulbs, I know orielly has bulk pack of 10 194 bulbs for cheap. Hope this helps.

Then, you'll need to "unwind" and remove the LED leads from that housing and put the LED into your original housing.
Pull the leads through the bottom of the original housing and solder them to the connection tabs.
Then reinstall the bulb into the **** switch. Test it first to make sure it lights up, the LEDs will only light one direction. If it doesn't light, remove it and rotate it 180deg and reinstall it.
I wonder if it is the same size/type that is in the passenger airbag off unit? If so here is a thread on another forum that gives you a radioshack part number. I used this to fix my airbag off light and it works great. If you can work a soldering Iron you should be able to fix it in nothing flat took me 15 mins on my airbag light. 1998 Ford Ranger Air Bag Code 27 - Automotive Message Forums
I happen to have a few of the LEDs on hand. If you'd send me your original bulb along with a few bucks to cover the LED plus shipping back to you, I'll do it for you.
Please post up the part number and where you bought it. And a picture if you happen to have one. Finding a direct replacement for this bulb would be great.
