Ok, this should be a no brainier but apparently not. The bulb behind the 4x4 switch is out and according to the stealership, to replace the bulb I have to buy a new switch at 75 dollars? Ummmm, no. The bulb can be replaced, I just don't know where to get it and the correct part number. Can someone tell me where to get it please? Thanks
That is probably an LED which is part of the Switch itself. Similar to the Window Switches. If you dismantle the switch you can perhaps find a replacement at Radio Shack.
Nope, it's an incandescent bulb. Here are some pics to help. Basically the assembly twists and falls out the back of the switch. The green rubber goes over the end of the bulb for coloring.
"Part Description: W/ ESOF; Green illumination, 3-position switch, bulb not serviced separately." $69
So, I would take that somewhere or try to get a part number off of it. An Auto parts store should have something that would work with a little ingenuity.
Should be a T4 or T5 bulb in there. Thats what my 1995 bronco has in the switches. And going to check my truck now. I put blue T4s in the bronco and it looks great.
