My never ending project

Fellas,
So cruising along today and at about 30 mph made a gradual right turn and heard a slight scuffing/grinding noise. Wont do it when turning left just when turning right, seems to do it at all speeds, is it a wheel bearing? ball joint? Man this thing is killing me. If so how can i check, jack it up turn it to the right and spin the hub?

Sounds like wheel bearing is a possibility. If it happens when turning right I would suspect the left side bearings primarily (load transfer to the outside wheels/side loading forces)

Sometimes they just need to be re-packed/tightened up a bit.

Yeah my truck project has about bled me dry as well..lol

Probably was a bearing. That squeaking I thought was brakes is prob the culprit cuz the squeaking is gone now

The way I see it... it's either have small things that need done on my older trucks and keep up on maintenance or pay $700 a month in truck payments and have the warranty shop do them. My way is cheaper

im getting ready for just a little boredom though lol.
your right warpig/ozzy,it beats the hell out of payments for years!
not only that, but what to make payments on anyway? 6.0 leaker,or the poor fuel economy 6.4l truck? or the unknown Mexican ford engine to pay for ?(way to new-no truck is worth 60k.)
forget Chevy or Dodge, those aren't worth a lick imho,so not many options lol.the 7.3l psd trucks would be good.but still looking @ 1500$+ for a set of injectors.-no thanx,i'll wait it out a few more years lol.
wrenching on the classic IDI trucks is a good bet.

amen bro, amen. I had it all patched back up 15 mins after being home. Nice part is i can do simple mods like ram air intake and trimming the grill and rad support to allow for free air and not void a friggin warranty. I even modded the front bumper to allow a gape of air to flow in, it is really hard to hit 200 degrees now lol. I used trim molding for the bumper cut out so it looks really nice too. lol. Man the the things i can do with a weekend. I am just so damn glad it wasnt the thing i thought it was, i was worried all day. My ride home was loud as **** but it was fun!! amazing the amount of noise a straight through racing muffler from magnaflow can trim off the top. Highly recommend them to anyone!!!

lmfao!! what a trip seeing this lol. when i would turn to the right the exhaust would lean away and the sound would go away. When i would turn left the exhaust would hit the frame rail and make a horrible sound!! lol
