T18 Rebuild

Hey I have a T18 in my 75 behind a 390. It's in need of a rebuild. the syncro between 3rd and 4th is shot, it makes wondrous noises, and just plain out needs rebuilt. Anyone have a WAG on how much it'd costs to have someone professionally rebuild this for me? after i get the rebuild kit and hand it to them? or is it not all that hard to do it yourself? either way let me know!

$500, give or take. Kit is what, $150?

Yea the one i've found is on the bronco graveyard website.

T-18 Master Rebuild Kit

So yea $150, and i'm gonna guess i'd be better off having a professional do this.

Yea, it's tempting to tear into one, but my eyes glaze over looking at the blown up diagrams.... What if you miss something? Good luck finding a rebuilder, make sure they stand behind their work, too.

Yea i think it'd be fun to do, for the first few minutes. I know someone that can reference a lot of good rebuilders for different pieces and parts for trucks/cars so ill have to see if has has a recommendation for me.
