he said that it sometimes dies when he is running down the road. lets it sit then it recranks right back up. the starting fluid was just a way to tell it was a fuel problem.
If it is a fuel problem,Look in the fuel bowl when it stalls , it will be empty...
my son has a 94.5 powerstroke. he just started having trouble starting his truck. the batteries are up and when running charging. the fuel bowl is full. i dont think its a glow plug problem. if i shoot a little starting fluid in it , it starts. no engine light on. sometimes it starts with no problem at all. thanks in advance.
Have you tested the GPR ?... Another cheap test ...
changed gpr . sometimes it will start sometimes it wont. when it does not start the tach does not move or sometimes it barely moves. when it wont start or when it does start and then stalls the fuel bowl is full. i have also disconnected the fuel heater.
