I don't really have big plans for it. This is my first vehicle and I like the stock look, so no major mods (it runs great already too). Right now my goal is to get the interior into decent shape before I take it to school. There are a number of issues. The slider mechanism on the bench seat is loose and the dashboard needs replacing among other things. I'm more concerned about my ability to drive a manual transmission above everything else. One thing I will say about this truck is that it loves the highway. It'll cruise 65-70 all day long
Nice truck, kinda reminds me of mine (except mine is a short-bed). My trim was similar, before I removed it. I'm thinking of putting some chip-guard below the trim line before I paint it and then replacing the trim with some that looks similar to yours. Anyway, welcome to the forum and that's a nice truck, take care of it. If you need any help or advice, the people on this forum are very knowledgeable. Also, if you need a manual, I would get one from Service Manuals, Owner Manuals, Wiring Diagrams, Service Bulletins - Helm Incorporated
Great lines Rob. She's a beaut.
My '86 F-150 could never haul what I bought the '03 SD to do; but the old '86 is a much, MUCH more fun-to-drive truck.
And man, with that twin I-beam front suspension, you can turn those trucks on a dime.
That's a great platform. I souped mine up just a wee little bit and she turned into a real nimble sporty little runner that handled like a dream.
Congrats on a good selection Rob. Enjoy and I hope you can have as much fun as I did.
