Alas the best advice I have ever heard "get two beers and jump" too funny. I'm sure you all know where that came from, other than the Jimmy Kimmel show he just sang it on his late night show.
So good evening to all there, its already 06:50 Thurs AM and not going to work till midnight here.
Later all, remember stay off Craigs-devil-list now interested in a 87 ranger 4x4 460 auto
F150 axles w/lockers and 38's with headers thru the hood.
Looks like you suffer the same illness as several of us do. I've had to hit the brakes on buying vehicles, I have more than I have time to work on and I want to get started on my highboy. First vehicles though are my 66 Skylark convertible and the wife's 88 Vette. The Vette needs paint and a full once over. The Buick, I'm waiting on my new convertible top and then I'll install it and start driving it til the weather is too crappy. this doesn't include client cars needing me to do anything from paint to engine and electrical work. AC work has kept me busy too.
Good morning Misery, I got the two toning of the 97 Ford road tractor day cab done. Tonight I'll polish it after checking out some vehicles a dealer needs paint work on. This after an eight hour day at my day job.
If health and major medical insurance weren't so durn expensive, I'd work full time in my shop. As it is, I have to keep a day job just for the insurance. I make way better money in my shop than at work but I have no time to access the internets when I'm at home.
Well I see broken axles in Rich's future. 460+38s+lockers in F-150 axles= broken parts, usually ring gears, but with lockers you also get the chance of twisted axles and broken axle tubes.
Yep - bad combo there. Looks like he'll need to drop some Dana 60s in there to keep it together. I did read an article in a magazine about a company here in MO that builds Dana 80s. Absolute monster axles...
Happy Friday the 13th. I didn't touch my dentside the last couple of days, this has eaten my evenings up. At least it's a Ford.
Sitting in my driveway Tuesday evening when I got home
This morning, I did the paint Wednesday evening and polished the old paint last night. The white on the tire is polishing compound.
Can I post a pic of the Peterbilt I did this past weekend?
I missed a whole week of FTE I'm lost, not really! swap meet/ GTG sounds great! is it next weekend? Terry I did not get to vote! Thats a nice car Tim! Rich see you home soon,
CRAP............... It is Friday the 13th..... I'm stayen home and drinking beer. Not really anything happening yet. The Cavalier's previous owner had a few things in the truck for the car. One being a new in the box ball joint. Guess I could get off this chair sometime today and get that car in the air and shake down the front suspension. I still needs a couple tires before I take it to get the state inspection done. I do know somebody that will pass it anyway. But it needs a tire to be safe.
Had a gut call on the 88 Ranger yesterday, asked some good questions, not "can I take a look at it sometime" so maybe he has a pulse. Really want it gone. Would help with tire, inspection, tax's etc....
Y'all be carefull.
Unk Bob
