Last night my wife and 5 of our 6 kids were hit by a kid in a fart pipe equipped Honda!!!!!!!!!!!!
All the kids and my wife are fine due to the size, weight and sheer front end mass of the Super Duty/Excursion.
My wife was going up a small incline when the Honda Accord was coming down out of control and going too fast. He hit the front of the truck with his driver's side door. He was going about 40-50 mph sideways and my wife was going 35.
He hit, was deflected off and spun 5 times before landing in a snow bank bloody and bruised. Upon impact all of his windows blew out (coooool ). He is okay but, again, bloody and bruised. The truck didn't move at all. Didn't veer, didn't do anything! 7300 lbs vs. 3000 lbs. win everytime!
Everyone in the truck is A-okay but my poor truck.......
Good that all are OK .... not the reason I got this big truck but your and others experiances are a fine testement the size matters, hope it all turns out well for you and yours
Does anyone have any tips on dealing with insurance companies when trying get my truck fixed?
What is dimished value? Can expect some sort of compensation for the loss of value of the truck due to the accident that is above the repair costs?
Anybody got an XL grill? Seems now would be a good time to get one & have it painted to match the truck. Do you think a stock hood costs more than the Reflexx hood Rotton Dog has?
Sorry to hear about the accident. I, too, am glad everyone is OK. Far too many people are injured due to excessive speed and/or driving outside of the envelope.
Hope your "X" is not in too badda shape. The first thing my wife said when we took delivery on the F350 was, "Wow, I feel really safe in here". Think that says it all.
I'm glad the family is ok.
Are you going to replace the grill like my friend wants to replace his radiator cap....
take off radiator cap,
move car,
pull new car up and re-install radiator cap. LOL
That is the main reason I buy gas guzzling american Iron. Tree hugging environmentalists can KMA. Glad everyone was ok. Now you can get that hood with the ram air intake.
