Hi guys,

Well you might be seeing a little more of me on here. I blew out my knee last night, ruptured patella tendon. It's what connects your knee cap to your shin, so with that disconnected I cannot extend my lower leg by my self. It's in an immobilizer right now to keep it straight.

I have a Orthopedic appointment at 2:00 today, that is just semantics though I will be having surgery asap. It's pretty invasive surgery too, they can't do it arthroscopic and it sounds like a long recovery, 6 weeks in an immobilizer with no weight bearing and only passive therapy. Should be good as new in 6 months.

So I just ordered myself up a laptop, so I can use the computer while my leg is straight out in front of me, kinda tough to sit at a desk.

Oh, and for those wondering how I did it, I was jumping on the trampoline with my kids, from what I've read it was ready to let go at anytime.

Holy crap Jason. That sucks big time. I cannot even imagine how much that probably hurt/hurts! Keep us posted on your progress. Maybe you can come camping now and tip a few back and do nothing?

It was pretty painful when it happened. As long as I don't bend flex my quad, it doesn't hurt to much, pain meds seem to be working.

I hear ya, it's the 1st major injury for me. We were suppose to be going to our friends cabin later this week too, I don't think that's going to happen.

Looks like fun. I remember you mentioning that a while back now. Just a couple family functions for us this weekend but the next weekend is our MN/WI camping GTG.

That should be great, I'm seriously looking at one of those smaller campers for the wife and I.

I am probably a little biased but we love camping in our trailer so I would highly recommend getting one
