Truck pulls are next friday and saturday evenings at Haddam Neck Fairgrounds. The fair is going on that weekend, including tractor pulls and some horse pulls I believe. All the info is on the haddam neck fair website.

i am going to have a full day of leather cleaning and conditioning, and probably will need to condition a few times every few weeks until the leather is supple and in proper shape. fortunately i married a horse chick so she can help me get it in shape and already has the best products for it.

Hey guys haven't posted here in awhile. Well i start college monday. Also got a chance to stop by the place across the street and see if they can do frame welding. I guess they can't really get there welding gear outside to do it 
. Anyway the place was filled with tons of old machining equipment that they use. Went into a room and in rows just machines! Also never got to see the basement of this building. Impressive. It's an old textile mill, and baseball manufacturing building. This shop has been there since 1954 to present. Its called Crystal Tool & Machine Co. Also one of there sign see diversified welding but its all pretty much the same thing.
Anyway anyone know a welder that can come to my house around here? These must exist.

Not sure if you can afford him and I don't know have his contact info off the top of my head but we use a guy by name of George Bartlett when we need welding done. Beautiful welds and he's got a Kodiak with all his welding gear on it.
I've never been the one to call or pay the bill so I don't know what he charges hence why I'm not sure you (or I) could afford to hire him but yea...

I saw him welding a water main down in New haven today on my way to the scrap yard.

I would love to find a guy to fix the rust/rot on my truck, but I am not sure the truck is worth all that at this point. Maybe after I start getting the engine all sweeted up this winter(with Aarons help), I will think about patching up some of the rust. On the 80-86 forum, they were discussing putting an 87+ bed on an 80-86 truck. One of the guys was talking about just putting some fender flares on the truck after stopping the rust. Maybe that's what I will do. Although, that will cost just as much as a new bed, if I could ever find such a thing in decent shape
