As the title reads post up your suggestions and/or ideas for a NC GTG...
I'm open for just about anything big or small... Meet at a tractor pull or Wally world doesn't matter... I'm gonna check the local events in my area and I'll post up suggestions... Personally I'm thinking sometime September or October...
It may be a better environment to do it at a local spot, centrally located as possible. This way folks can actually meet and talk to each other and swap truck stories. Sometimes it's hard to meet everyone when you're at an event.
Try not to do it on a holiday weekend. Seems like most folks already have plans on those occasions.
The Hope Mills thing sounds good. We could all meet up early for some food and talk. Then check out folks rigs and talk shop. Then those that want, can rally up at the strip later.
I'm game for most anything though. September might be better for me personally. My October will be full with the kids out of school and weekends will be mostly tied up. But I can work around stuff if given enough time.
We need to get a list of potential folks. A short list of dates. A few ideas about location. And decide if we want to hit an event or make our own event.
I'm still game. Oct. 9th and 16th are the only two weekends I can't attend. I have soccer until the end of Oct. but could leave after a game and meet later.
We need a list of who can attend. Maybe over the next week we can get a list together.
Find a central location of those that can attend.
The Rock has some Oct. and Nov. dates for events.
Oct. 21st IHRA
Nov. 6th MIRock Super Bikes
Nov. 13th SVT Cobras
Or we could meet at an eatery, parking lot, or whatever.
Where's our fearless leader 06silvercrew? Maybe we should make him decide and then we work around it.
Well guys, the few of us that actually post here (what, maybe a dozen of us MAX) seem to be pretty spread out. There are literally a TON of NC chapter members, who I have never even seen on here, or FTE at all for that matter. Makes things pretty difficult. Im all in for a GTG, but like most of you, I dont want to travel 4-5 hours to meet 3-4 people.
