As long as it's on a Saturday I'm sure the family and I will make it.I agree though we don't want to drive 3 to 4 hours to hang out with 3 to 4 people,we don't have a problem driving pretty much anywhere in NC,but it would be better if we were to have a good group going,I would really like to meet you guys from the NC Chapter,so lets try to talk a GTG up and make it happen.I'm usually in the 99-03 7.3 group, but I frequent here too.....Phil
Already said I'm game. Just need a time and place.
IMO: Even if it's a small local group we should try to meet up at some point. We (all three of us) drove a few hours for the last meet. But I agree, 4 hours to meet three folks is probably not going to work for most.
i live literally a half mile from the dyno shop here in town....their core is a lot of mustangs, so im sure our trucks would fit right in.....maybe i could go talk to them and see what could be done for a little saturday test-n-tune....
i also live about 2 miles from the local drag strip....freaky fridays first friday of each month, i think the last one is november due to it getting cold......
of course, wednesdays are t-n-t nights at the track, might be difucult except for a few locals during the week though....
i dunno....im up for about anything the masses decide on....laid off right now, so im living the proverbial 7 day weekend right now, lol
edit: also, the local oriellys and ford club is putting on a big car show saturday the 30th here in town....might be a fun time, lots of classics
^^^^ I like that idea! But agian, with my wife about to calve twin babies Im scared to go far at the moment.
Here is my thoughts. Im going to get in touch with a chapter Moderator and hopefully get them to send out a mass private message to NC members with hopes of getting some more attention around here. Maybe, just maybe if that happens we could have a DECENT GTG in the early spring?
I am an extreme newbie. But if we wanted to pick a central location Sanford would be about the most neutral spot. If someone knows of a good restaurant there that would work out well.
