I'm not an auto guy, but that said, the tranny will bolt up to the motor, and the transfer case will bolt to the tranny if it is for a 4X4. The flex plates are different for the C6 and the E4OD. But then you have to have the computer for the E4OD.
Yes and yes. Be aware that there were some electronic changes made in 1995 and you can't use a solenoid body from an older transmission with a newer computer or vice verca. If you decide to run an aftermarket controller it wouldn't matter since they are designed to be somewhat generic.
I reused the flex plate from my C6 transmission until the day I replaced it from breaking. The replacement came out of a 7.3 diesel and was identical. I am not 100% sure but I think the flex plates between the C6 diesel and E4OD diesel are the same up to 1992 when the cast iron flywheel was phased out.
Also be aware that the E4OD is significantly longer than the C6 (internally its essentially a C6 with a coast clutch and overdrive added on the front with computer shifting) so your drive shafts, cross member and shift linkage will have to be adjusted.
