'98 Expy CD factory CD changer replacing ??
I have a 1998 Expy (EB). When I purchased it, it did not have the factory CD changer in it, so I went a found a used one. I plugged it in to the harness, but when I try, I get a "NO DJ" error on the factory unit. It wont let me eject the cartridge or anything. I purchased a second unit, thinking the first was bad as it was slightly dented. I get the same thing with this one? Im not sure what the problem could be or what wires to test for power on the harness to see if that is the problem or not??

I'm not familiar with the Expy, so what radio is it you have? Is it the double din like in 99+ superduty, or is it a single din like in the 96 and down F150?
I didn't think the CD-DJ feature was available until 2002, so is it the stock radio? Then is it CD with an AUX button or cassette with a CD button?

It is what I think is in between the single and double din. I know it is not a true double din. It is a casstte unit with a cd button. I cannot say for certain that it is the original unit in this vehicle??

Same Problem
Hey Unruely1 I had the same problem and was wondering if you found a way to hook up your changer. I got the harness and changer out of a expy at the junk yard and when I plugged it in it said no dj. So please if you found a solution to this I would appreciate to know how to hook it up.
