does any one know were the cps (cam position senser) is located on a 1997 7.3 liter power stroke

 

On the front of the engine about mid way up at about 11 o'clock.

 

I had a little trouble locating mine for the first time, and found that the best way for me to see it was to lay under the truck with my head under the right front corner of the engine block, with my legs wrapped around the left front tire. Now it's easy to find, but it was tough the first time. I hope this helps.
