EGR DELETE KITS??

If I use the bulletproof EGR delete kit is there still a place to install the EGR valve so I can pass the visual emissions inspection here in AZ??? THey visually inspect looking for the EGR valve to be installed here in AZ? How can I get my EGR deleted but still pass this inspection??

From what I see with those kits they don't require removal of the EGR valve itself, so you should be OK. My 04 truck is done virtually the same way and my EGR valve is still in place.

Yep, I still have mine in place too. The kits come with a block off plate if you want to remove the EGR but you have the option to leave the EGR valve in place.

there are a couple of kits on ebay from river city diesel (i think is the name) for $200. I wish I'd seen theirs earlier, I could have saved $100 over the Sinister kit I bought.

Like others said, you can leave the valve on. the bypass pipe to replace the cooler is hard to see.

ALSO, cheezit, a Ford tech, posted some interesting findings he had when he put his valve back on. I'm putting my valve back in place.

The BPD kit does keep the EGR valve intact and in stock location.

wuuuu? how'd you do that? They were $300 or best offer, and the lowest they'd go was $285, and i bought mine about 1-2 months ago from Ebay.

Hey Cheezit, for the purpose of replacing my EGR valve to plug in and hopefully make fan work, do I have to get a specific EGR valve for my 2005 model year, or will any EGR valve work (from '03-07??) ? Mechanic kept my old one, so I need to get a new one.

THANKS!

there are 2 differnet valves they look the same but have different insides. best bet is to find the correct part number.

I got mine around the first of the year and paid $175 or $185

This thread is very old and the chance of cheezit responding is not that high. But he may you never know.

I have one engine that was deleted with the "J" tube and it was and easy way to store the valve in the hole.
