cant shift np205
Hey guys I have a 1976 f100 with an old 352, 4 speed and np205. I had sold this truck about 5 years ago and have recently purchased it back. The truck has been sitting for a while. After getting it running it was stuck in 4hi so I drove it around the yard and pushed on the lever and it went all the way to 4lo and now I can't get it to pull back no matter what I do. I have rocked it front and backwords driven it 100' or so back and forth. Tried all of this with hubs locked and unlocked. I'm desperate to get it back into 2hi as I haven't driven this truck in 5 years and I'm itching. The pin will shift the truck from two to four wheel drive but won't change the range. That pin is stuck in low no matter it be two or four wheel drive. I have seen a few guys talking about broken shift forks I just would like to know if that was broke would the lever move freely with no result or would it just not be able to move.
