Like already stated ... DO NOT USE SILLYCONE (RTV) on your intake gaskets ...
Personally, I use a thin coating of spray K&W copper coat on the gaskets, and Sillycone (RTV) on the ends.
K&W has the same spray without metallics if you prefer non-metallics.

ok i used that copper spray stuff and i have it all back together now compression numbers are 125-130 across the board. what does that tell me? what should i go about doing now? take it to a shop and have them adjust the carb and distributer or what?
