well as you guys might know my rig was throwin me for a loop last night. i got home and pulled code 1280 which is ICP Sens Circ Output Range Low. so i cleared the code in suspision that my 20k icp mod might be why the truck was run so rough on bumpy roads and occasionally would shut down. so i cleared the code today and drove the truck. after bout two hours she acted up a little but not as bad as last night. so i came home and pulled the 1280 code yet again even after it was cleared. so im suspecting that the icp mod has a bad connection and is causing the rough rpm's on bad roads and the occasional shut down. so i guess from here im just gonna put in a piece of wire where the resistors originally were and hope for the best. thanks for the help guys wish me luck.
i redid the connections today. started the truck and it was idling as if someone unplugged my icp sensor. so i shut it off and cleared the p 1280 code. started it up and still rough idle and now cel. p1280 came up again. so i cleared it for the third time and retuned the truck back to stock and tried unplugging the icp. started it up and it didnt idle as rough but still had a cel. same p1280. im stumped now cause i redid the connection and it is still saying ICP Sens Circ Output Range Low. any ideas guys?
Change the pigtail first before you do anything.....I fought mine for months and changed the pcm and the icp and it ended up only being a bad plug on the icp sensor. Its the cheapest thing to try.
