EBP numbers? Scangauge

Just set up the Scangauge for EBP readings. What am I looking at? And what would good numbers be?

Right now, idling cool, just started, reads 18.1-18.4.

High idle is reading 22.4-23.2

Anyone know?

Thanks, Sean

What is it reading at Key-On/Engine-Off? Better yet, what are your BARO and MAP readings at Key-On/Engine-Off as well?

m-chan,

what should those readings on the Baro and MAP be?

MAP, BARO and EBP should all indicate atmospheric pressure at Key-On/Engine-Off (about 14.7 psi depending on where you are located geographically). That's how you verify your sensors are reading correctly.

At Key-On/Engine-Off, it should read FUEL_PW should indicate 0. At low idle it should read around 990 and at high idle it should read around 660 according to the Ford PC/ED. There are A LOT of PIDs to monitor on these engines, so I don't see how you can't access them.

I will have to see why more dont show up then. We must have to different readings as st idle it was 1.06-1.12. At 2000 RPM it held at .74. I wil have to go back out and see what else it says.

Thanks for your knowledge and help.

Mine is reading right at that, 14.2. Thanks for your input!

Most guys call this reading "Drive Pressure". It shows the pressure of the exhaust gasses before they enter the turbo.

Guys will compare drive pressure to MAP(boost) to gauge turbo efficiency.
