I recently started a thread about the bolts/riverts used to mount the reat leaf hangers to the frame. While I'm at I was thinking about sourcing and installing two new frame crossmembers (the two that join the two sides of the frame that the rear tank sits between).
Is this a good idea, as in if I take these things off can I get new ones back in without removing the bed or anything unforseen? If so, where can I find them at? I've looked everywhere. I'm looking for OE Ford.

I would have to go out back and look over a bare frame but I think the bed bolts through those cross members? I'm not 100% on that. If you really want new ford parts I think your going to have to ask your local dealer for that. Other thought might be asking here if someone out west can hook you up with a junk yard out there that will ship you the X members and you can clean and paint before you install.
Right on, offhand I don't think the bed bolts go through the crossmembers. The only thing I saw that connects to them was the tank straps and the rear brake line.
I was looking for a place like a Bronco Graveyard that has OE frame parts (like the leaf hangers I'm putting on). I have a message into them but if anyone else knows where to get these...
