I was woder how i read the door ID tag, or is there a site or book i can look at that will tell me what number is what?

Post it here and we can decode it. Personally I use the Ford Parts manuals to do the decoding.

F14=F150 4WD pickup
B=300 cu in 1bbl inline 6
L=Michigan Truck Assy. Plant
B3102=1976 model year sequential serial number
Is this VIN for the '78 listed in your signature? If it is, the VIN number doesn't match.
The sequential serial number for 1978 model year trucks goes from AE0,001 to CK9,999.
You might want to double check the frame VIN to be sure.

It just hit me, you're missing a digit in your VIN. Double check it. There should be another letter after the second "B".
