regarding the STC fitting update,
Do you think this should be done as only as necessary/failure or as preventative measure?

preventative measure.
even if / whenb the new style fails you atleast dont wind up with a broken rear cover and a cracked branch tube.

Gonna tackle this task in a couple weeks. Also I need to get an IPR socket are there 2 different sizes for an 05?? Thanks...

nope there all the same size from 03 and up. I have a socket that I use when the turbo is on. I use a 36mm wrench that I cut in half when the turbo is off.

I dont need any special wrench if the engine is out on the floor do I? I bought the SCT update and the IPR. I figured if tearing it all apart be preventative. Dam they are not cheap.

Good. I can see it right in front of me. Havent opend up the cover to see the sct yet though. Dam this is getting expensive.

Where are you buying the parts from? There are a few places that are MUCH cheaper than others. Also, I found a cheap IPR socket. Shopping around really can pay big dividends!

I have most all of my parts but I am finding more that I need as I go along. I was just on Ed the parts guy site looking at glow plugs as I have at least two that dont look very good.

IPR sockets are goin for $55-$70 Anyplace cheaper than that? Thanks
