Auto Enginuity Questions

I am looking into getting a code scanner. I have looked at the website but I wanted to ask the guys and gals who use them some questions?

1. How easy is it to use?
2. Can it scan OBD 1 and 2?
3. What all will I be able to do to my 7.3 with it?
4. Can you use it on more then one car or is it locked to one.
5. Is it user friendly?

These are a just a few of the questions I have, any suggestions or other thoughts would be great. I almost bought a acron scanner at autozone the other day for my wifes expedition, but I figured if this one does both then I should do that.

Thanks

1. How easy is it to use? That is relative, but overall not bad when you have FTE or you can give us a call.
2. Can it scan OBD 1 and 2? 96' and newer OBD2
3. What all will I be able to do to my 7.3 with it? Basically everything and more than the dealer.
4. Can you use it on more then one car or is it locked to one. You can use it on as many vehicles as you want.
5. Is it user friendly? Very for the type of software it is, but it was made for mechanics so some things can be a bit cryptic.

Thanks

Let me know if I can help you further.

To your question #4- it will work on any Ford vehicle, but not other makes unless you pony up the dough for additional licenses.

I have found that it can be used to look at very basic stuff on many vehicles that have OBDII ports, but for more specific things, as in "Enhanced", you need the bundle for that brand, ie Ford, GMC, Nissan, BMW...etc.

As an example I used it to turn off the CEL on my Nissan and was also able to look at a few parameters. Basically what a smog check station may look at.

So if I bought the ford bundle I would be able to look at my superduty and my wife expedition, or do I still have to buy extra license's?
