also just a reminder even tho the axle tubes are thick, try not to lay full beads and get the tube too hot because even the smallest warp will over time, ruin the axle
After reading the PSN thread, i think i can do the whole thing with only having to reweld the spring perches. Everything else will bolt to the truck and axle.
yes a semi can carry 20,000 lbs on rears but have you ever noticed that they don't squat much as a pickup does with only 5-8k. if you do it protect the bags and lines from rubbing on anything and expect to replace bags about every 3-5 years as they seem to develop leaks at about that much use.
Yep, I planned on making little triangle gussets. We have leveling valves laying around at work. I didn't think about the sway bar... I'll have to find something...
Another little trick i was going to add was a dump valve to make loading the bed easier.
Use a Haldex PR series valve, they have a built in dump port that's much faster than waiting for the whole suspension to vent through a dash switch. With that valve, you just put pressure to the dump signal port, and it'll vent the whole deal in seconds.

Our work trucks have lasted for a half million miles... the top of the bag would be mounted to the frame, so all air lines and valves will be well out of harms way.

I'll have to look into that, if i can't use the ones we have at work (they're free).
