running light question

This up coming weekend I might be putting some running lights mounted to my running boards. My question is Im going to put three on one side and three on the other and has anyone else done this and where did you tap the power from? I was thinking of running the wiring up to the parking light and splice in there.

That will would be your best bet. Run them together and tie them into the parking light circuit. You can do this on the drivers side via the headlight switch itself or on the passenger side there is a connector behind the kick panel that the cab lights are tied into
