I am going to put running lights underneath each door. All evenly spaced three per door. I have made a box that will light up all three lights under the door when that door is opened and all lights will light up when the running lights are on as well. question is, does anyone know if there is a central location for all the door switches? At most I can get the signal just inside the door jam. But a central location would be better. Once done I will post some pictures of the project.
cangim i dont have an answer for you but i would like to know too im a contractor and leave my door open to do paper work i want to put a toggle on my dash to turn my door chime off .iknow just take the key out but my crew likes to hear the radio.hope someone will help us .
To get rid of the chime, take the covers off the steering column. Turn the key to the on position, there is a little keeper button that you can push to pull the entire tumbler assy out. There should be a black wire with pink stripe or vise versa, don't remember. you can either cut the wire and tape it off or you can pull the ball and switch away. This switch will register if the key is in the ignition. The lights will still chime but the key chime is gone.
