part number

I plan on keeping my truck a long time and doing additional work to it. My 5 speed is acting a little lazy going into gear and would like to make sure my firewall isn't flexing. Does anyone have the part number for the plate that stiffens up the firewall at the clutch master cylinder. I went to the local ford dealer and the parts departments around my way suck!

I want one of those $20 parts (E3TZ7K509A) for my 85 F150. Where can I get one and is it OK to install one if I'm having no problems now, but want to avoid any future issues?

From what I know is this part was made to correct the defects in 1980-1983 trucks. 1984-1986 and beyond should not need the part, or it already has one installed at the factory.
