Weak Brake Booster
I am doing work on my truck - just short of a full resto and want to replace what makes sense, but not spend money just to do it either.
The breaks were a bit stiff when the truck was running, but the vacuum line did not seal well, engine did not run great, and there could have been air in the lines...
Any thoughts? The truck will have around 400 hp when done, so I want to make sure the brakes are good. I am replacing the master cyl and lines for sure.
Secondly - if I replace it, what's the best place to get one? I know autozone has a nice affordable brake booster and master cyl combo, rebuilt.

Inspect the check valve and its grommet first.
LOL, i have had nothing but trouble with Rebuilt MC, Go to NAPA for your parts, they are very high Quallity and very reasonable, make sure all of your vacuum lines are sealing before trying to Diag. The Booster, Normally the Check valve that goes into the Vacuum Booster housing grommet goes bad.
