jason i love the way your truck sounds, and thats one awesome looking clone.
I have wondered how it would look to do a 87-91 lighting, i know they werent actually produced but i think it could turn out cool

Been Seeing alot of guys around with the Super 44's. I like the sound but want something a little different. I was thinking about going with the Dynomax bullets.

OK so I have to give credit to Paul (aka Conanski)... While he didn't show up to post this for you all to look at... I have it book marked b/c he has true mandrel bent exhaust, long tube headers and it sounds great too! not sure what muffler he used but with all the 30 pics from every angle and the video it's deffinatly worth a look... And for those of you who know Paul... Well he knows his Ford stuff and has helped plenty of us in the past!

I'm not sure what he has now. He said he had a Flowmaster, and wishes he would have gotten something else. It looks like one in the pics.

MAC LT headers, dual 3 inch into dual high flow cats, into 3" DIDO Magnaflow with side exit.

Still wicked loud. REALLY deep tone.

Thats cool. Great choice on Mangaflow. It sounds great. I'm curious why you need 3 inch duals though? I think that 2.5 would be more than adequate.

It's entirely custom. Harold Furo, Furo Racecraft, doesn't do anything smaller than 3". PLUS the larger pipes makes it sound deeper.

Your truck does sound pretty wicked! I am getting excited to get my 351w back in the truck and get the exhaust done! If 3in makes it sound deeper I might go with that myself... Have to see what I can find to do the mufflers... Is your exhaust so loud that you hear it in the cab though?? I want a deep rumble like yours but something that won't give me a headache out on the highway...

On my 96 F-250 I put a flowaster cat back system I also removed the HUGE cat so i have a 70 series muffler with 3" single all the way from where the cat used to be it uses all the factory hangers and fits awesome it actually took longer to take the factory exhaust off than it did to put the new stuff on . I bought my kit at Summitt and it shipped to the house for less than $300

It resonates in the cab pretty bad on the highway. It was WAY worse when it was just the cats. I think it has more to do with the side exit than anything else, cuz the sound is right there beside you. I don't get the "bark" that most exhausts have. That's why I went the way I did.

The first 15 or so pics in that link and the stationary video clip are the first system I built years ago for the 5.8, It consists of 2.5" mendrel bends hanging off old Flowtech longtubes feeding a 3" cat and a Dronemaster Super 44. The tailpipe is a stock Powerstroke piece I picked up at the Barrie Automotive Fleamarket.. for those that know about it, and it's actually close to 3.5" in diameter.
The rest of the pics are the current 5.0 system that uses the same catback with a custom muffler(more on that below) with the Y pipe modified to fit the new Flowtech longtubes that as you can see hang too low compared to the old ones. The muffler is the shell of a Super44 that has been gutted and filled with a straight through pipe and damping material making it much the same as a Magnaflow muffler. I call it the MagnaMaster. It is just as loud as the Flowmaster when you're on it but quiet when you're not and most of the in-cab droning is gone. And the video clips don't do the sound justice either, it's much louder in person and when driving down the road, I'd like to get a drive-by clip made but my good camera died so that will have to wait.

I got a few videos for you...

My 96 f150, 302 v8 with two and quarter inch duals off the manifolds, both run down the passenger side into si/so cherry bomb super turbo mufflers, no cats. Exits out the back through 3.5 inch tips.

Here's that same truck with the mufflers popped off and straight pipe stuck in their place, just wanted to hear what she'd sound like straight piped lol. By the way I was cruising it with the windows up, only the rear window slider was open, that's how insanely freaking loud it was...

Here's the only vid I currently have of my 94 F150. 302 v8 with stock manifolds, a 2.5 inch walker replacement y pipe, single walker cat, into a 2.5 inch mid pipe, into 2.25 inch tailpipes, no mufflers. Its quite a bit louder in real life then the video makes it sounds...

Hope you don't mind me sharing a vid of a slightly older truck, its my 86 F150 when she was still alive and well. 351 v8, 2.25 inch duals off the manifolds, 24 inch thrush magnum glasspacks, no cats, both pipes exit out the passenger side infront of the rear wheel.
