In my album I have posted 3 pics of a switch (that never worked) and frankly, I've never thought much about until today- 15 years later. What is the function of this switch?
Where is that switch located?
I'm guessing it's in the rear cargo area, and if that's the case, it's a cargo lamp. The ON makes it stay on all the time. OFF is so that it never turns on. DOOR is so that it's off when the tailgate is closed, and turns on by itself when it's opened "for your convenience".
cargo area- yes. Switch was never functional- frozen solid or broke from the get-go. Can't see how that minny bulb could illuminate squat but I would like to get a replacement, get it working and see what I've been missing

Reason: spelling
Switches are usually pretty simple. Maybe disassemble it and see if just some scuffing with some light sand paper, some WD40, and a new bulb might get it working again?
I've thought about robbing one of those from a junk yard. It'd be nice to have.
