Here is the start of my little project,I got this far today in a few hours.One question,does the bottom pully have to come off to take the front cover off? I aint going back with it this time without making POSITIVE the timing is correct. Thanks to my # 3 son for posting the pictures for me,I still dont get it.......

Long ,long story,It ranaway with me back in Dec,Thought I had it fixed then more problems,it never would run right,started to sell it,then decided to see whats wrong with this engine before I hunt another one.So far I see nothing out of place, I was silly and went and looked at new trucks again,,Ill fix this one I have had it 13 years so it deserves another life!!

The socket size for 6.9 head bolts is 7/16", the 7.3 uses 1/2", both 12 point!
I may do that,This is a VERY tight bugit job,its going to take a while to get done,I know im going to have a drivers side head,I wont tell yall how I know that and what I did cause Ill get laughed at!
Thanks Oreo, I saved that site, Thats lots of cash for me,any thing wrong with reusing the old head bolts? Keep in mind I drive about 20 or 30 miles a week,so its not like high performance is needed
