im wondering on a stock 87 f250 wat are the largest tires it can clear and also im not sure if they make them for this truck but if i can get two inch blocks wat could i clear them? im just trying to get ground clearance for when i go in the mountains hunting and camping
what do you expect to get into lol? i have the stock 235 85 16 on mine and i have more than enough clearance where i go as far as 4x4 i think you will be disappointed if you get into some soft areas these heavy front ends sink.so ya know i live for hunting and fishing eat sleep and breathe just for killing stuff so i now what your talking about as far as getting to areas.what is your truck xcab longbed?i think you would be surprised on what you can go over and remember the higher the truck is the higher you have to lift dead animals and stuff in. i have heard some guys stuff 35's under them but 33's will barely fit on mine
its a single cab long box and the height thing is not a problem haha i got a lumber rack im putting on just for hunting im beefing up the front and the legs going up behind the cab and throwing a come along on it the reason im lookin for a lil more clearancs is my dads stock 94 f250 we were pushing snow wtth the front end enough it was coming over the hood haha that was a fun trip
i guess its 235/85/16 remember load range should be E also for the added weight on the front end from the motor.to be sure see if the sticker on the inside of the door is still in good condition that will tell you also
and is that bigger than the stock tires i think the ones i have on are 285
285 is just the tread width. that doesnt tell you how tall they are. thats where the second number comes into play. ie 75 80 85. like, a 315/35/15 is smaller then a 255/85/15
