Disk Brake Pads

Searched the Motorcraft website for disc brake pads for a 2007 F-250 4X4 PSD. There were several sets listed with different part numbers that appeared to be compatible with the listed truck. Does anyone know what the difference is? Thanks in advance as this site has been a wealth of information.

You want the PREMIUM pads. I can't tell you the part number but if you walk into a dealership that is what you want. TOP of the line motorcraft. I get excellent stopping and no black dust to clean.

For 2006 F250:

Front Brake Pads : 8C3Z-2001-A
Rear Brake Pads : 5C3Z-2200-AA

I sure hope these are the Premium Pads, I just bought them to have on hand when the time comes (although they still look pretty good at 72k).

Can I ask what you paid? I've been advised I'm due for a set. I'm also at 72k.

If you have not purchased the MC pads, I would recommend the HAWK pads. They are little more expensive but you will notice a significant improvement in stopping performance and dust is significantly reduced. I have them on my X, ZO6 and VW Jetta TDI and am not disappointed.

Just food for thought!
