Stumbled on this site a couple days ago. (Impressed) I'm on my second Ford diesel. Currently a 2001 psd, 250 xlt, 3:73 gears, automatic, K&N filter, 65k miles. Trucks have never been anything but a tool to me and we work em hard. I've been thinking about cleaning the truck up and doing a few mods. I'm ready to order but would like opinions on my selections.
Diablo Chip 54/78 hp.
4" downpipe. (will this bolt up to the rest of my stock exaust?)
Diablo shift valve, firm. (Is this nessasary since the chip says it adjust shifting?)
This was my first automatic and I never have liked the way it shifts. I live in the Ozark hills and run small grades It 's always shifting. Also I'll need tires in the spring and would like to go a couple sizes bigger, not huge what will this do to the computer, speedo, abs etc?
Sorry for rattling, Thanks
Tim

If you are going to run a chip you need an exhaust temp gauge first. You should not exceed 1250* pre-turbo. Larger tires will throw off shift points but the PCM can be recalibrated to compensate for this.
