dont knpw if this helps, but to the best of my knowledge they came with dually axles and single wheels. Number dummy would be a big help here as he's been in parts forever and maybe can help with numbers

SO YOU MUST HAVE THE DEEP DRUMS ALSO? IS THIS THE STANDARD AXLE? DULLY WIDTH WITH SINGLE WHEELS IS THIS DUE TO THE FRAME BEING NARROWER WITH THESE TRUCKS?

Actually, all F-350 2wd trucks are built on a chassis-cab style frame....... with the longer wheel base, narrow rear section and DRW axle. The SCS trucks just had a wheelbase that was extended a few inches more. There is really nothing mechanical about the SCS that does not also apply to NON SCS trucks.

Basically, ALL 2wd F-350's use the same drums. So, if you got the wrong drums....it's because they are for the wrong truck entirely. Sounds like you may have gotten some drums for an 80+..... which used SRW drums.

Ok but why did Ford not just make dual wheels fit these trucks? An on a F250 did they come with single or dual axles an could you make these trucks duallys using a axle say from a F350 from 73-79 Ford truck?

There is no such thing as an F350 Super Camper Special after 1976. After 1976, there are just Camper Special's, as Ford dropped Super from the name after 1976.

Is this truck a Regular or a Super Cab? I assume it's a 2WD, since it has 12" x 3" rear brake shoes.

No, they do not...as the OP has found out. And what the heck is a DRW axle?

There is no such thing. All 1967/84 F350's w/SRW or DRW (except 4WD) use a Dana 70 rear axle.

The axle is the same SRW/DRW, the difference when DRW's are present are the wheels, hubs and studs.

1971/78 F350 Regular Cab & 1979 F350 Regular Cab 2WD before production date 9/18/1978:

2) D1TZ1126D .. Right/Left Rear Brake Drum.
--------------------------------------------
1979 F350 Regular Cab 2WD from production date 9/18/1978 & some 1980/84 F350 Regular Cab 2WD:

E4TZ1113C (replaced D8TZ1113A) .. RIGHT Rear Hub & Drum Assy.

E4TZ1114B (replaced D8TZ1114A) .. LEFT Rear Hub & Drum Assy.
--------------------------------------------------------------
1978/79 F350 SUPER Cab 2WD:

D8TZ1113C .. RIGHT Rear Hub & Brake Drum Assy.

D8TZ1114B .. LEFT Rear Hub & Brake Drum Assy.

Kalve: Ford did not offer an F250 with DRW until 1985.

Whoever wrote this jazz you read, didn't know scheiss from shinola.

1973/76 F350 Super Camper Special / 1973/79 Regular Cab Trailer Special / 1977/79 F350 Regular Cab Camper Special were not built on the Cab & Chassis frame.

These trucks were built on the specific to them only 140" wheelbase frame.

There was no such thing as a factory DRW pickup until 1980. All previous F350's with DRW were sold as a Cab & Chassis only. And, Ford didn't offer an F250 w/DRW until 1985.

The knowledge that oozes from bill is absolutly amazing!! Not to hijack a thread but I'm searching for the rocker moulding for my 76 scs. It can be either the kind that goes on the very bottom of the bed, or the kind that is the thin strip that follows the contour of the bottom body line (sorry i don't know the technical names). I suppose noone reproduces them and I highly doubt there are any collecting dust on someone's shelves.....but any help would be greatly appreciated bill!

Bill, YOU Have Been around LONGER than I have!!!!
What is wrong with you...? He said he has a SCS, Which Mean's "Super Camper Special" if it's an SCS, it's obviously NOT a Super Cab or a 4x4. As these only came in 2WD and Regular Cab F-350, Single Rear Wheel. You even acknowledged it was a F-350 Camper Special and you still had the nerve to ask that goofy question... Ford Dropped The "Super" off of Camper Special after '76 So buyer's wouldn't believe they were getting a Super-Cab Camper Special, Which Super Cabs came out two years prior, in '74. So Super Camper Specials, Became F-350 Camper Specials.
miottimouse, Joe, I'll post your pictures of the truck for you in here.
Also, When you type in all caps, it means your yelling, and your more likely to be ignored. I know your frustrated...
