No im saying i like when it takes a second and you hear the starter turning over. not like constantly but when you hear it turn once or twice like his did.
but ok, it wasnt supposed to sound like that. Great video btw!

I am building it to pull if i need it and i want it to be fast. The main reason im building it is just because i can. I wanted to build something alittle different. I want to show that it can be done and reliable. After the truck is finished i want it to be fast, look nice, and to just use it to show not only what i can do but what can be done with these trucks and with these motors. I know it wont be the fastest thing on the road but it will have enough power to make it fun and surprise a few people. My main goal is to just make it out run the majority of the Lightining trucks. If i get there great if not then thats what the AMG is for lol.
I just read this entire thread... I feel like I need to take a break now. It'll be interesting to see how it compares to mine. I just recently swapped to a '96 computer/harness. Turbo isn't on yet, it's just a matter of time though.
well for a short update. I got the truck back from tuner and it looks like I'm going to have to change to mass air. I didn't really want to do it but its the only way the truck will run right. So, I'm going to use a 94-95 CA truck ECU and aftermarket maf and add the wires that I need for the Maf and injectors. I'm trying to get the parts now but with the holiday season. It won't be till after the new year till I can get the conversion done and tuned. I was hoping for better results. But we did get one good run on the dyno and it made 298hp and 400tq to the wheels at 16psi. But we weren't able to get the computer to except the values that were needed to make it run right.
lol don't think launch videos are going to happen. The transmission won't take launches from the torque the motor puts out. I'm putting the 16psi spring in the wastegate today. I still need to find a EEC-IV MAF computer for the truck so I can get started on the conversion and get this thing running and driving better. It runs good enough to drive but I have to watch my A/F guage. It doesn't lean out under boost if anything we have it running rich. But under some part throttle conditions it will start to lean out bad and I either have to let off the gas or give it a boot full and go into boost. Plus I know not only will the drivability get better but with it being easier to tune we can get better numbers for it and get the A/F ratios closer and not run it so rich.
94-95 was the first year for MAF for the f150. But it was only for trucks in Cali and Mass. The 96 f150s were all MAF and OBDII. I'm still trying to find a 5.8 computer that is supported. The 94-95 4.9 computers arent supported either so using one of them would just put me right back to where I am at now with tuning. I'm still debating on using a mustang computer and running a standalone controller for the trans.
