Is the sensor on the top front drivers side block called a ICP?
I unolugged it with the truck running and it made no diffrence?
Should there be a noticeable diffrence in how the truck runs with it plugged in or unplugged?
Truck isnt running very well its romping and surging.
When was your last oil change.. Syn, such as Rotella 5w40 oil will eliminate romping.. If your engine is idling ruff, unplugging the ICP would smooth is out if thats the problem..

The whole engine is running and idling rough.
It made no diffrence whether the ICP was plugged in or not.
The ICP is oily .
If the ICP sensor in oily inside after unplugging, then replace it..
Agreed, it should probably be replaced.
That being said, I don't think it's your ICP. When you unplug the ICP the computer uses "default" settings. If the ICP was causing the rough idle/running condition, it would disappear when unplugged. Oh, and be sure that you shut her off when you plug/unplug.
One cheap thing you can do is to take the IPR out of the back of your HPOP and give it a good cleaning. Brake cleaner is fine to use, just give it a few minutes before reinstalling to let the excess evaporate off. If you search you might be able to find the "IPR rebuild" document.
