I have a 2004 Ford Ranger, V6 4x4. I am having a bit of issues with my breaks. The break pedal goes all the way to the floor. If I pump the breaks the pedal does not get stiffer. Also every now and then when going under 5mph and stopping (say backing out of my driveway) the ABS will kick in.
I have checked the fluid level and it is full. I do not see any leaks in the lines. I am at a loss of ideas here. So if any of you have had a similar issues or have any ideas any feedback would be very helpful.
my vote goes to the master cylinder as well.... I know when it used to be wet or cold outside, my breaks used to slam whenever I hit them (no matter how soft I pressed on the brake pedal). I ended up changing my fluid and it went away...
