The plastic window vent visor thingies on my Ex were destroyed by hail earlier this year. Just now getting around to trying to remove what is left of them from my truck.....they are the stick on variety. I do not have anything on hand that will cut the sticky adhesive tape stuck to my doors I have tried Goo Gone and WD40 combined with some gentle scrapping from a plastic putty knife, no luck. Afraid I'm going to damage the paint. Any ideas on what to use?
Goo Gone should work. You just have to figure a way to allow it soak for a while with out drying. Try soaking some rags and laying on the area you want to remove.
I'll second the 3M adhesive remover. Works very well, have used it for years. NAPA has it an your local autobody supply store should have something that works.
