I took my car in to read the ABS codes and they came back with a C1155 and a C 1102. Sounds from what i've learned about the C1155 code, all you have to do is replace it. Maybe the same deal with the C1102?
Is there any reason these codes may be going off? Any other potential problems or fixes i need to make other than simply replacing them? Also, if anyone has any information about where to find these sensors, how much they cost and how to change them, i would greatly appreciate it.
The codes probably aren't much different from year to year, so I'll assume it's a 2002 and list the code references for that year.
C1155 - LF Anti-Lock Brake Sensor Circuit Failure
C1102 - not listed in the ABS section. Don't find it in the 2004 manual either
Are you certain about the C1102? Maybe knowing the vehicle year will help.
In what way do the brakes suck? Both of these codes are related to the ABS system which should have no impact on the normal braking ability of the vehicle.
I can make PDFs of the diagnostic procedures for both codes if you'd like. Just send me a message with an e-mail address for you and I'll get them on their way to you. It's too much to attempt to paste on the forum.
