I have what I believe is the original carb on my 65 truck (240 3 on the tree) and was wondering if someone could tell me exactly what it is? I want to get a rebuild kit. The tag on the carb says fomoco C5TF.G or at least that's what I think it says. It's a little worn. Thanks for any help .
I may have answered my own question. I've been doing some searching and found this. Is this the right kit ? This place has some good diagrams and instructions and may be off some help to others here. I hope it's OK to post the link. Ford 1-barrel Tech Info - The Carburetor Doctor

C5TF-G = Ford (Auto-Lite) 1100. Ford owned Auto-Lite from 1962 thru 1972.
The carb kit number is CT-189, Part number I show last is C5AZ9A586B...which has most likely been superceded a time or two...but the CT189 ought to be the same..
When I called the dealer a few days ago asking about a carb kit for the 2100 2 bbl...I just told them I needed a MotorCraft CT 499D...as thats what I was inquiring about...seconds later I had the cost and availability...
No application or anything like that needed...in the end it makes the parts guys job easier...plus if you told them you wanted a carb kit for a 1965 truck they would laugh and say its not available...w/o even doing the homework to see the MotorCraft number and so on...
