We were in your area in April. We went to Valdosta, Ga. for a mini reunion of my wife's family.
My last truck was a 2004 F150 screw 5.4L /3.73/ with 5.5' bed. At the time I had a 31RK cardinal TT that weighed about 8000# dry. It pulled like a dog!! Swayed all over the place, and almost had to park it in a cross wind once. That is when I decided to go with a 5ver next time. I pulled that TT once with the new 2009 F150, and it was a big difference. Handled that big TT much better than the '04 did.
Yes, we bought our Open Range at Terry Vaughn in Alvin, since we live right there. You might also check out Genuine RV in Nacogdoches, Tx. They are a big OR dealer and have an excellent web site with lots of pictures.
