I'm haulin my buddies 31' Jupiter that weighs around 11,000lbs about 670 miles each way with my 2002 F250. My tires list max 80 psi cold. What do you think I should run in them. For work I haul heavy equipment with a 2500 duramax and they want us to run 50-55psi up front and 75-80psi in the rear. What do ya'll think I should run?
Running less than 80 psi allows sway. Sway is dangerous.
If you have singles on back, use the max psi rated for the tires (80). Do not give the tire walls the opportunity to cause you to loose control. A dually has much more control while pulling a trailer.
During my life time three trailers have broken loose at the ball lock. The safety chains and experience let me come to a stop without anyone getting hurt. I have been fortunate and i appreciate the blessings i have received.
I agree on census, my very trusted tire and alignment shop says 80lbs all the way around when hauling, towing, then back down to 60-65 empty. Otherwise, not only do you have the sway, but extreme tire wear. I also just added the torklift stable loads on overload springs, what a HUGE difference, my wandering/sway is virtually gone!

I keep my dually at 80 psi in the back and 70 psi in the front all the time. I don't like having to change the psi every few days. The tires seem to last longer this way.
My late 1999 F350 CC Long Bed Dually, running 23585R16E Cooper Discoverer HT tires: I cannot even run the factory suggested 60psi in my rears if I want to have all my tread on the ground (this is empty) I am running 45psi and still don't have all the tread on the ground but its close, I do not do any heavy hauling (I do tow my 24' enclosed car hauler with my '65 Mustang inside which is right at 7k I have no swaying problems, I run 65psi in my fronts and they seem to be wearing fine-may be its just the Cooper tires??
I'm running the continental but 70 front and 70 rear otherwise the tread on a dirt field says it ain't got enough air. 80 air starts showing tread lift at the edges. My Michelins were happy at 65 F & R, and the goodyears that came with the truck were happy at 55 empty. go figure.
50 K on the goodyears, 45 K on the LTX's and 20- so far on the Conti's
