Does anyone have pics of their SD with a steering column gauge pod?
I'm thinking about ordering an Aeroforce Inteceptor Gauge and mounting it on the column. I just want to see how it looks before I commit to the mounting location.
I know autometer makes one, it's like 30 bucks, are there others? Better, worse?
Has anyone used the Autometer 15010 steering column mount (for auto's)?
I'm trying to confirm which side of the column it mounts the gauge to. The pics of the mount online show both; some are showing it mounting the gauge on the left side, others, the right side.
Click on the little grey + sign to the left of the item and it'll show you a picture. I bought the 15011 for the manual and it mounts to the right. It appears the one for the automatic does as well.
I've not driven it enough to really decide how much I like it. If it were to the left, it would obscure the odometer. I think where it is it might obscure the shift indicator, but I have a stick so I haven't paid enough attention to that yet.
I'd have preferred to use a single A-pillar pod below the grab handle. But I have an Edge Evolution there.
Single gauge pod doesn't screw to the pillar, it installs under the handle and the handle holds it in place. You do have to drill a hole in the pillar for wires to come through though, but you can drill it near the windshield so you can't see it.

I put in a 3 gauge piller post in my truck. When to a truck savage and pick up a uesd post to cut it up. That way i still have the original one if i ever need it. Used autogauge in it works and looks great.
geac-o-face did you consider a F650 dash upgrade? This bolts in place and provides a place for two gauges and uplifter switches. This is a picture from partsguyed.com
